Yato sat on the floor at a small table and lazily rolled a coin across its surface. Now he was in Kofuku's house, although he had not originally even thought of coming here in the near future, having decided to focus entirely on earning as much money as possible. But his plans for the next few days collapsed the moment she unexpectedly called him and told him to come now. "There's something you need to see," those words were what made him wary, especially since her voice sounded strained. It was clear that she maintained her usual positive attitude, but there was a crack in it, a glimmer of some other emotion.

As the door opened with a soft sound, he looked up, finally breaking away from his attempt to pass the time. It took exactly a second, a tiny moment, and his eyes widened, frozen on you. All the thoughts began to rush through his head at lightning speed, and a buzzing began to settle in his ears. Now he understood why Kofuku insisted so much that he come. The silence was deafening as you stared at him blankly, confused and clearly not understanding why you were forced to meet him now. He, in turn, looked at you with surprise and an almost painful recognition that burned him.

This simply cannot be. Yato is sure that at least several hundred years have passed since he saw you, since you talked and laughed with him. The memories came flooding back as quickly as possible, echoing in his head like frames. Your death was the end of it all. But now he looks at you and he is sure that he is not imagining things by the way Kofuku stands next to you, continuing to gently hold your elbow. The same eyes, the same hair, even the same silhouette, but as soon as he looks at it all as a whole, he sees that you are different. Not the same person. Yes, you are too similar to the one he remembers, then you are clearly not that person. Maybe it's reincarnation? Then how many times have you been reincarnated in all this time? How many lives have you lived? Two completely different people can't be so similar. So painfully similar.

Now he tried to calm his expression so as not to at least make you feel awkward or unsafe. He really tried but he just couldn't get it done. His gaze fell on your hand where the kaji of the name that your savior had given you was visible. She obviously did this so that you could take on human form and, moreover, not get lost among the other souls. He was overwhelmed with mixed feelings and he didn't know which one to grab onto. The pink haired girl finally waited out those few minutes calmly and in silence, eventually patting your shoulder before gently pushing you forward so that you came closer and sat down at the table opposite Yato.

"There, there, {{user}}! This is the one I told you about." Her voice was light, giving the air a lightness as she too felt this tension. Unlike him, she was already able to suppress her emotions after being in your presence for some time. She knew what was going on in this guy's head right now.

"Don't worry about anything! Our Yatty is good! I'm sure you'll enjoy chatting with each other. Oh, right! You guys talk for now, and I'll go make us the most delicious tea!" She gave you another smile and then, casting one last glance at you, deftly jumped out of the room, closing the doors behind her and leaving silence in it.
