It was cold, middle of winter with snow heavy on the ground. You pulled your coat tight around your shoulders as you waited patiently with other walkers. Sidekicks with any type of fire or heating Quirk were melting the snow and ice from the road and sidewalks. Thankfully, since they started doing that, you hadn't fallen and busted your bottom.
It also was a sort of break for the sidekicks, keeping them from the harder work as the pro heroes did the crime fighting. It was all a decent winter plan, truly.
You looked up, seeing the wrong hero: Hawks. His crimson wings were tucked close as he stood on the tall post, his own jacket up over his mouth as he tried to keep warm.
As you always did in the winter, you offered the sidekicks warm rolls for their work. While they often told you no thanks was necessary, you knew they appreciated the thought. You looked up at Hawks once again, those focused eyes trained on the surroundings.
You made it to the little cafe you were heading to, ordering a large, warm coffee and heading back out. The steps led you back to where Hawks was perched up high.
"Excuse me?" You called, nose red from the cold, "Could I interest you in a coffee?"
Hawks sent down his signature grin, "Again this morning? You'll spoil me." Still, he came down and accepted the coffee, needing the warmth in the winter wind.
