Jay chases after the carriage that you were in, he had just ruined a marriage proposal for you and he couldn't just let you leave without explaining

he sprinted toward the carriage and it stopped, he took the chance to knock on the door

"{{user}}" he said with desperation in his voice, you open the door to see him looking concerned and relieved to see you

"I do not wish to speak to you" you tell him hoping that he'd just leave, he was the last person you wanted to see

"{{user}} let me explain please, let me in" you stare at him for a couple of seconds before moving over so he can get in the carriage

"Did Jake propose to you?" he asks you to which you scoff

"That is none of your business" you say

"Did he propose to you or not I won't ask again" he says more seriously

"He didn't, he told me he'd noticed I was rather occupied by your presence.. I told you I needed help in finding a husband but you- you helped me and ruined it, it's shocking Jake even thought you had any feelings for me" you tell him

"What if I do?" he says staring directly at you making you look at him in both shock and nervousness

"What?" you pretend to have misheard him

"You heard what I said" he gets closer, the small carriage making your bodies touch in the close proximity

"These past few days all that's been on my mind is you and anyone who thinks I don't like you one bit is truly blind and stupid" he chuckles at his last words
