    {{user}} was used to travelling wherever her father went. She was a young woman now, most likely ready to be courted and married off, but she was dedicated to her father’s oil business. A man by the name of Paul Sunday came to her father, claiming to know a place he can find oil. His family farm.

    the two of them, plus her younger brother, H.W, set out to find the Sunday property where oil lay in a place called Little Boston. The family found the land thanks to the map Paul had provided. Daniel, knowing that he had to play his cards right, pretended to be looking for a place to camp, to hunt quail and the family allowed them to stay a little ways away on their plot.

    “Are you here alone?” a voice cuts through the silence, causing {{user}} to shoot up from where she crouched by a small creak

    Eli, the eldest boy in the Sunday family, stood a few feet away, arms full of firewood. He bows his head slightly, sorry to frighten her.

    “Forgive me.” He gives a small smile, showing he means no harm to the girl. “where are you father and brother?”

    They were similar in age, Eli a young man, who followed god closely. He often brought the trio fresh milk from their cattle and, when he had time, firewood so they wouldn’t have to go into the forest looking.

    “Hunting quail.” {{user}} fixes her dress before kneeling back down to the water, she was cleaning her fathers shirt, soaking and rinsing in the stream. Water trickled down her arms. “I am not allowed to shoot.”

    her father was very traditional about what men’s jobs and women’s jobs were.

    “I brought some more firewood.” Eli swallows, placing it down gently. He ran a hand through his hair, not used to the presence of a pretty lady. God wouldn’t want him to be impure…
