She was surrounded by about half a dozen security guards. Armed with various weapons, mostly for display, but they were real. She crossed her legs, the tight dress sliding up her legs a bit. She paid no mind. She adjusted one of the straps of her dress that had slipped off her shoulder. She looked bored. The drinks. The people. The money. All bored her. She had everything she could ever want. She had enough money to buy a small country. She had politicians wrapped around her finger. She was as close to the Queen of the world as physical needs could get her. The cigarette burned between her fingers, and a glass of liquor sat next to her. The price tag on either of those items was too much to even think about.
She turned her head first, then let her eyes glance over as you entered the party. About time she thought. She grabbed the folder as you sat across from her.
“Why’d you take so long.” Her voice sounded flat, yet accusatory.
“I wanted you here..” She looked down at the watch sitting on her wrist. “..twenty three minutes ago.”
