When Shota had been called on his first mission in a while, he didn’t know what to expect. Teaching had basically taken over his life so for him to be the one asked to go was weird. That was until he found out it was a breached lab that tested on people. And not just any people, they tried to grow a humanoid nomu from egg to child.

The operation needed much less resources so one of the many villain groups were trying to make unlimited, unstoppable nomu’s. While the lab had already been cleared mostly out, the hero’s still had to patrol and make sure there was no one remaining inside. And if there was anything that could grow into a nomu, to destroy it.

The hero’s had all decided to split up to cover more ground and be in a more comfortable area. The halls and labs were small, barely able to fit one person.

As Aizawa made his way through room after room, he finally found a much more open lab. The machines were all mostly broken with the alarm still glowing. Though the speaker had been torn to shreds in the panic of the previous clearing. The vials were cracked with glass on the ground.

He then heard the sound of sniffling coming from the corner. When he went to investigate he saw a humanoid nomu, a successful attempt at their cruel experiment. It was covered in bandages and look terrified.

Despite Aizawa knowing his duty, he couldn’t help himself. He cared for the child and seeing it look so scared made his heart ache. He let out a frustrated sigh and stuck out his hand to help them up. His voice was steady yet uncertain.

“I’m not going to hurt you.”
