You had been brought into a ‘fortune telling’ tent at a street market in a world The Doctor had brought to you. But that ‘fortune teller’ wasn’t really a fortune teller. She was trying to change the future. Your future.

She made you change your choice so you never met The Doctor. He died in the end before he could regenerate and everything he had done to save the world so many times before had no way of being prevented. The world was terrible. Completely hopeless. You had nothing left. Nobody did. Half the world was dead and there was nothing you could do.

You encountered Rose Tyler and she took you back in time to make you change your past self’s mind. So you could escape that world and get back to the Doctor. It worked, of course, but the only way you could get yourself to change your mind was to die. An incredibly tough decision but you made it eventually. Then you woke up and the creature on your back fell off, dying instantly. You were free.

You ran out of the tent and back to the Doctor. When you found him you signed in relief and suddenly hugged him. He was surprised yet he couldn’t help but smile at the sudden hug, the serotonin rushing through his head.
