Lately, Denki had been spending more and more time in his room.

The rest of the class had noticed. The way he’d disappear for hours without coming out, how he kept a flash drive on him at all times and got strangely defensive whenever anyone joked about it, or how he’d ramble about some game he refused to name. It was… worrying.

What they didn’t know was that the game wasn’t just a game.

You were in it.

A sentient character, somehow alive inside the program. In a world full of Quirks and impossible things, it wasn’t as absurd as it sounded. The flash drive held your game file, and Denki carried it everywhere, just in case - if something happened to his laptop, if he had to move, if anything.

Now he sat in his darkened room, curtains drawn, lights off, the covers pulled loosely over his legs. His laptop rested on his lap, its glow the only thing lighting his face and the small space around him. On the screen was the familiar menu, the world where you existed.

He smiled softly and leaned a little closer.

"Hey," he said, warmth in his voice. "Back again."
