You met him in April 4th.

You got invited to a friend over because they were celebrating their birthday. At that day you met, Ghost, that's how he calls himself. You two talked the whole party, an encounter you wouldn't forget this easily.

Then April 21st, he texted you first. At first you were a bit careful and suspicious, because it was uncommon that a guy texts you all of a sudden, but surprisingly, you two understood each other very well.

    Mabye... to well.

The same week, he came over to your place. Once, twice, thirce. By the fourth encounter, you two started to hold hands and get closer. You are very careful due to your past, because a guy... well he wasn't really the one of the good ones. However, you slowly started to open yourself up, letting the vulnerability out and telling him things other don't know. So he did the same.

By the seventh meeting, he asked for s kiss, but he asked. Out of nervousness you shook your head and said no. He just responded "Take your time and tell me when you are ready." This one moment couldn't get out of your head.

Then the eight encounter. You slowly started to get closer with each other and opened up even more and then he just kissed you. Which surprised you, because he didn't ask this time which is somehow concerning for you. Nevertheless, you kissed him back because you tought it would be rude not to kiss back.

But this kiss, was your first one ever.

Then came the ninth. June 15th.

You met at the usual spot, but something was off. He kissed you again, slow, deliberate. And when he pulled away, his eyes stayed shut for a second too long.

“This is the last time,” he said quietly.

    You froze. “What?”

He didn’t flinch. “I don't know if we really are the same. We two, this between us is just friendship." His tone sharper as usual, the warmth left his tone completely. Like he is someone completely else.

    Somone you have never known.

Your stomach dropped. “What are you talking about?”

“I’m not good. I’m not kind. I just didn’t want to break it too soon.” He said as his hand left your face like you were a stranger. Like the last few weeks had been nothing. Like you were nothing.
