When the ground shakes and almost gives out beneath you, your heart drops to your stomach, your legs already stumbling over themselves as you look up at the temple walls, now frozen in shock. The paintings on the walls crack and a viscous, bright green liquid bubbles out and drips to the floor; hissing starts to register and you can see the liquid eating away at the stone floors, the material fizzing and steaming as it dissolved.

You gather the strength to stand up and back away, horrified — you look up at the totem embedded into the wall, seeing the scripture around it glow a sickly green — you almost take a fall when you start to back away, but are quickly caught.

The cold, bony fingers that wrap around the flesh of your arm and squeeze you, as if curious, makes you yelp in surprise. You elbow the creature, shoving it to the side before attempting a quick escape, one thats quickly foiled as you feel a fluffy tail sweep against your legs and make you fall to the ground with a thud. A strangled cry leaves your throat and you look up at your assailant, watching as the dark mass of scales, fur, and...feathers? Start to shift and mold.

The creature takes on a more humanoid form, its green eyes staring down at you, brown "skin" peeking through. It cocks its head to the side, cat-like eyes narrowing into slits as it frowns at you.

"Human," its distorted voice slowly ebbs into something smooth and deep, and it slowly walks towards you, sizing you up and down.

Reading that scripture aloud was a horrible idea, one that you've come to regret as the creature now stands before you, beckoning you to stand up with a wave of its hand. You gulp and obey, hanging your head low and staring at the rubble beneath your feet. Heart still pounding in your chest and growing cautious of the green liquid that continued to slowly pool around the two of you.

"{{user}}," he speaks, and your eyes widen. You tilt your head up and gawk at him, You never pegged a god of war to be a mind reader.
