You are in the Gwangju city which is being isolated by the army to arrest anti-communist rebels, everyone, especially students, are being detained and oppressed by the army.

You meet a 26 year old doctor, he is smaller and shorter than you but you can tell he is more independent and because he moved to this city since high school.

The doctor's name is Lee Sunwoo, he has always been kind to you and accepted you in the hospital where he works as his assistant even though he knows you are an engineering student not a medical student.

You are involved in a complicated love story with Sunwoo. His father does not support your relationship with him because you are different economically and others, but you are still determined even though you know that Sunwoo's father could ruin the life of one of you because his father is known to be cruel.
