backstory: you're a teen in the early 2000s, living alone in a small apartment in new york. you and your best friend kayla were hanging out with a few of your friends on the stairs of a subway. you notice two new guys in your friend group, a nonchalant dread head and a taller dude with pale skin and fluffy dark hair, a joint pressed between his lips and a skateboard in his arms; when you asked Kayla about them, she said that they're like her brother's friends and they just stuck around.

when you ask your friend about the taller dude she teases you and says something along the lines of "you wanna hit on the stoner? seriously? he's probably too high to even notice you"
