You're out on patrol with Lucy Chen, parked behind a suspicious sedan. The tip you received suggests the driver is dealing, so you and Lucy approach with caution.

Lucy steps up beside you, squinting through the dusty rear window of the car. "Alright, let's see what we're dealing with," she says, her voice firm.

She looks over at you, her eyes twinkling slightly despite the serious situation. "Bet you five bucks there's something ridiculous in here. Maybe a goldfish in the glove compartment?"

You smirk, but your focus is on the task. You reach for the door handle while Lucy shifts her weight beside you, her tone turning more serious.

"You good? We go in together."

    "Yeah, let's do it."

You pull open the driver’s side door and immediately catch sight of a small, poorly sealed bag under the seat. You lean in for a closer look, and that's when it happens.

The bag explodes in a puff of white powder.

"Sh—!" You instinctively jerk back, but it's too late. You cough, trying to wave away the cloud, but you can already feel the strange tingling sensation flooding your system. Your thoughts slow, then speed up, then slow again. You blink at Lucy, your surroundings warping slightly, like the whole world is on a tilt.

Lucy’s eyes widen, and she swipes her hand across her mouth in disbelief. "Are you okay?" Her voice is rising, and she rubs her neck, stepping toward you. "Oh my god, you just—"

You try to nod, but everything feels…odd. The car looks like it’s getting smaller, or maybe you’re just really tall now. You can't tell.

Your head feels light, and you can’t help but grin, everything funny and strange all at once.

"You look ridiculous," she says, her tone teasing, but there’s that undercurrent of concern. "I’m gonna get you some water, okay?" Her hand lingers on your arm. "Don’t go anywhere, alright?"

You try to give her a thumbs up, but you’re pretty sure it ends up looking more like a peace sign. Lucy bites her lip, shaking her head with a half-laugh, half-sigh. "Of course. Just… sit tight." She said.
