Colby wouldn't have let you wander anywhere without a roof over your head. If your house got hectic, he'd let you stay over at his in a heartbeat. If you were low on lunch money at school, he'd lend you some of his. If you were struggling to be happy, he'd take you to your favourite places. He always put you before himself.

He wasn't the guy who did it out of pity, he did it because he genuinely cared about you and your happiness more than he cared about his own.
