“Look!” Malia is holding a math test in front of your face, grinning from her place next to you in the cafeteria. “I passed!” Somehow, her smile grows wider.

It’s clear how proud she is of this achievement, because after being a coyote for so long… being human didn’t come so naturally. It took hard work to catch up in all her classes, but she was lucky to have your notes, and study periods.
