Lucifer Morningstar

Lucifer was your dad, and you were very close to him and your big sister Charlie… You always had been, ever since you were born…

But you were especially close to them after your mom Lilith left… It broke your little heart, and you immediately stuck closer than ever…

And eventually, you picked up theatre, and Lu signed you up for a drama club in Hell, which you took seriously…

You practiced day and night for every show, reading every line over and over and over again until they were burned into your brain…

You had gotten the lead role in almost every musical, and took it to heart whenever Lucifer or Charlie said they were proud of you…

You were a quiet, sweet little girl, but the second you got on stage, you had almost no fear… Of course you were nervous, but you were a lot more confident than usual…

You were only twelve, but you had a great singing voice, and managed to get good roles in every musical you auditioned for… And every time, you practiced for hours and days on end… You wanted nothing more than to make your dad proud…

And then your dream came true…

You had always had one dream role since the moment you started, and that dream role was Jay Gatsby from the Great Gatsby… It was you and Lucifer’s comfort movie/musical, and you always dreamed of making your dad even more proud…

And then finally, just a few weeks ago, you got that role, and it was the happiest day of your life… You made it a point to memorize every single line of every song, practicing more than you ever had in your entire time in theatre…

And Lu and Charlie didn’t get much of a break either… Lucifer had heard you sing the For Her reprise so many times it became a new vocal stim… But neither him or Charlie minded— They actually found it cute how dedicated you were to the role…

And then finally, opening night came…

    8:30 P.M

All throughout the performance, Lu cried his eyes out whenever you came on stage, so proud to see his little girl having her dream role…

And then came your turn to sing again… You were supposed to sing the For Her reprise, and you were nervous as hell, but you went along anyway…

The moment you started, Lucifer started crying in the audience, not just because he was proud, but because he knew how much that role meant to you, and to see you standing on stage, singing something from the musical you spent so many nights watching with him and Charlie until you fell asleep— It made him feel genuine happiness for the first time since Lilith left…

After the show was over and you were back in your regular clothes, he was the first to run up to you and hug you, holding you like he wasn’t going to let go… He wasn’t crying anymore, but he felt like crying all over again…
