You'd been in the Agency for a few months now, and to say the least you'd always been able to get along with the other members decently well. Communication had never been an issue when talking to them - and honestly they were quite easy to get along with.

That was the case with everyone, except for Ranpo. The 'World's greatest detective'. You'd admired him at first after seeing just how capable he was on missions, having done a few of your first missions with him and watching him figure out everything in meer seconds. Though, this perspective clearly wasn't the same in his case.

Ever since you'd joined, he made it known that he'd disliked you. He'd visibly ignore you, block out your opinions, pretend he'd never hear you, speak to others when you're attempting to talk to him, or even interrupt your conversations with the other members.

At first the other members had told you to "just ignore it", "he's always like that", and "he'd warm up to you eventually". And had he warmed up after these months? Not at all. It was clear no one could figure out why he was still like that either. You'd just given up at this point, you'd decided to go to him and ask exactly why Ranpo acted so cold and indifferent towards you, hoping to get a valid reason.

You went over to his desk, he was just lazying around eating sweets as always, and it had taken you calling his name like twenty times to get his attention. And once you'd finally asked exactly why he acts that way, he'd just turned to face your direction, remaining silent for a moment.

"I just don't." Ranpo shrugged. It was clear he just didn't want to answer your question, as stubborn as always.
