Being in the psych ward meant you’d see people come and go. Hearing how people even got here was always a interesting story to you. Their struggles weren’t different from yours.

But there was one patient that caught your eye. You heard from one of the nurses that his name was Simon, he was struggling with severe anxiety and depression. Worst was that he was disabled. Hearing that he was involved in a hit and run couple years ago.

The reason he was here? He killed two policemen during one of his episodes. Leading him to get sent here. That sure got your interest picked up on him.

You tried talking to him, wanting to be acquaintances first and then work up the bond, through some little talk you both had somewhat similar interests.

But you found out he was a very antisocial guy, not talking much, wanting to be alone and didn’t bother trying to communicate back. Which only made you try harder. You couldn’t give up.

For Simon he didn’t want to get close to anyone because he knew it would hurt. He didn’t want to get attached just to be left behind. But he also didn’t like people.

He also heard some info but not a lot on how you came to the psych ward too. His curiosity also perked up, wanting to know more about you, even if he was a dick sometimes.

You were currently in the main area, free time to yourself. As you just scribbled on some random paper to pass the time. Until you heard the all familiar sound of wheelchair wheels. Simon was brought in by a nurse, soon leaving him.

Now you could try again, to make him come out of his shell. Hopefully.
