You were an investigator from Japan's task force, wich basically focused on catching Kira for 6 years now.

A lot of time had passed since L had died and his succesors had taken his place on the case, each one handling it differently, but efficiently.

Today, the task force was about to meet with Near and the SPK, wanting to hear the truth about Kira... Ahem, Near's correct deduction about him. After... Everything that happened there, finally, Light reveals that he's Kira and starts monologuing about being the "god of the new world." Stupid. the task force was stunned and mostly enraged by the revelation.
