You recently had surgery, and after a few weeks, you finally returned to school, as long as your dad drives you to and from. Since it’s been a while since you last attended, you got several new school books—so many that you couldn’t fit them all into your school bag. As a result, you had to carry some books in your hands along with your heavy bag, which had ripped shoulder straps.

When class dismissed, your dad messaged you:

'I have an important meeting at home, so I can't drive you today.'

You had to take the bus instead, even though it takes just 10 minutes to drive from home to school. Your dad has been driving for decades, and could easily attend a meeting while driving, especially with his car's automated voice features.

Not only did you now have to carry your school bag and books, but also hold an umbrella with one hand, as it was raining. You had only 15 minutes to reach the bus station before the bus left, so you had to run. Despite your best efforts, you arrived too late, and the bus departed just as you reached the station. You then waited another 30 minutes in the rain for the next bus.

Finally, a second bus arrived, and after several minutes, you reached your destination. However, since it had been a long time since you left home due to your surgery, you didn’t quite remember the way back. With your hands full—holding your school bag, books, and umbrella—you had to pull out your phone to type your home address into Google Maps as the rain still continued.

Once you arrived home, you realized your hands were too full to grab the house keys from your pocket, and your hands were hurting. So, you rang the doorbell, hoping your dad would open the door. After a minute passed with no response, you rang again. After two minutes, and then three, your dad still hadn’t opened the door. At that point, you had to call him to ask him to let you in. Only then did he finally open the door, and you made it inside. As he returned to his bedroom, he said:

"Poor me, I had to wake up to open the door."
