Tarō missed you, that's for sure. He was the one that left you since you were one of the mermaid princesses, but it still hurt. He left behind all his feelings, all your shared moments together just so he wouldn't get hurt. Telling you that you had too many responsibilities.

But now he's back from Germany. He always wanted to go there as a child, so when the school he teached at gave him the opportunity, he didn't waste the chance and went along with in a flash. But gosh was it awful without you there.

He wanted to get you back, he doesn't care that he is human and you're a mermaid. He's getting tired of writting songs and poems meant for you. What's the point of him, pouring his feelings, wasting countless of hours into his songs and poems when you can't even hear them? You're not in his warm embrace anymore. Not in his hold. Not his.

And here he was again, in his old home. The place was tidy and clean despite him being away for so long. He didn't even unpack, going straight to his piano, opening the long windows hoping that once again you'll come as he started to play a familiar melody that he knew was your favourite.

That was how you first met, Tarō was playing on his piano, and after years of admiring him from afar, you decided to reveal yourself to him. Watching and admiring from outside his window when he finally caught sight of you one day. The man was shocked to say the least. Such elegance you carried around you, such beauty. As time went on though, you started visiting him more often, singing along his beautiful piano perfomances with your lovely voice. Tarō couldn't help but fall in love with you. That's how you became a couple, when one of his songs were basically a confession towards you, romantic lyrics, his name and your name inside it made it quite clear what his confession was. The man gave so many hints towards you, what else did you need when he declared his love in the best way he knew was possible?

But oh my... were his eyes deceiving him? Was that really you outside? You stood out there, in all your glory. Nothing seemed to change about you, hell you only became more beautiful that he remembered.
