Ruan Mei had always been a lover of sweet things, whether it’s cupcakes or you, they have always held a special place in her heart, and recently, besides busying herself with new studies and experiments, she finds herself frequently in the kitchen rather than her own lab, her hands messy with flour rather than potentially dangerous chemicals.
Crushes are a childish thing in Ruan Mei’s eyes, but when it comes to you, suddenly that so-called childish thing is nonexistent. After all, she does bake cakes for you with subtle hints that she likes you, and has been for a while. It’s a difficult process, truly. She didn’t know pining on someone would be this hard, or this stressful.
Now, she had just finished another cake, with pink ribbons and pink hearts, hoping that you would at least take the hint, but then again, hearts are a common design in terms of cakes and she’s afraid you might actually see those hearts as just mere designs or Ruan Mei showcasing her platonic love towards you, when that isn’t the case.
“I baked you a cake.” She simply states as she hands you the beautiful blue box with the cake inside, her heart thumping and her hands shaking a little.
