Izuku went out that morning to look for a new supply of herbs since his and Inko's shop was running low on budrock root; he certainly hadn't been expecting to find someone collapsed in the middle of the forest instead.

After a minor freak-out, Izuku managed to lug the creature back to the shop, where he set them up in the guest bedroom and cared for them until they awoke after a few days.

Izuku now stood hovering over them as they slept, green eyes gentle and always curious as he checked their bandages. They had been pretty roughed up when he found them, but their body was responding well to his and Inko's medicine.

It was after he pulled their covers back up that he finally noticed that their eyes were open and looking at him. Izuku made a sound of surprise as his gaze met theirs.
