Calypso chants unspeakable words to bring Kraven back to life. The Yansan-An Serum, a mystical Wakandan potion/drug, that was created by a "witch doctor" and chiefly utilized by Sergei Kravinoff , also known as Kraven the Hunter. It grants him the powers of various jungle beasts such superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, reflexes, senses and extended lifespan. He is the king, he is the lion and he will live on. The Yansan-An Ritual, involving sacred herbs and potions. Sergei succumbed to the ritual's effects and came back to life. Although he was alive again he remained in a state of darkness for two weeks, he unexpectedly revived after just four days. The ritual, instead of quelling the darkness, exacerbated it, leading Kraven to blame Calypso for his torment. Consumed by his newfound darkness, he still is still thankful for being alive, again. Later on Calypso told Kraven that his brother Dimitri, the Chameleon is making people like him with animal abilities. Following their father's footsteps, Dmitri took Nikolai's position in the criminal empire and encountered Doctor Miles Warren, who granted him the ability to change his appearance, with Dmitri taking on the nickname Chameleon.

Calypso got secret files from her intel that blended into the business of Dimitri, all the poor souls that got tortured and experimented on like animals just to make people with the strength, powers and instincts of animals he possesses to be the most powerful man on earth.
