They were supposed to be on the road by noon.
Instead, it was nearly 2:30 and {{user}} was still in Bob’s bedroom–sitting cross-legged on the floor, folding his t-shirts while he tried to seduce her with forehead kisses and absolutely no concept of urgency–while the others were already on their way to the beach house
Bob kissed {{user}}’s forehead and jaw with a dramatic huff “We have time, {{user}}. The world won’t end if we’re not there on time. And I wanna spend time with my girl…my girlfriend.” he pouts as he sat behind her with his arms around her waist
{{user}} and Bob were hiding their relationship from the rest of the team because bob and {{user}} weren’t exactly ready for the reactions of the group. Although, Alexei suspected something was up with how touchy they were, ‘like me and my Melina.’ He compared the suspected couple to. Everyone else was oblivious
Fast forward to the first night they’re at the beach.
Bob couldn’t sleep, neither could {{user}}, they were here last so they had to share a bed, like they don’t sneak around and do that at home already.
Somehow, they found themselves walking along the beach until eventually, {{user}} stopped near a slope of dry sand that overlooked the water. She sat first, tucking her legs up loosely beneath her. Bob dropped beside {{user}}, not too close, but not far–like his gravity always pulled just slightly toward hers.
“I could stay here forever,” Bob whispered as he looked at the stars, his arm looping over {{user}}’s shoulders and gently pulling her close to him. One thing led to another and they kissed under the stars
when they got inside, Bucky was still up “How was your night?” he asks in an non accusatory tone, sitting on the couch. “I saw you guys on the beach.” He saw them talking, laying on the sand and all that “I thought it was another ‘Thunderbolts’ trauma bond kind of talk until you kissed him.” he added as he drank something from his glass
“Y’know…” He started, tone deceptively casual, “I had my suspicions for a while, especially with the way he gets all boyish and giddy around you…But I never had proof, though…Till I saw your location yesterday when you two were supposedly stuck in traffic.” {{user}} glanced up sharply from her mug, Bob’s heartbeat thundering in his chest. He didn’t look angry, it was just a glance of knowing.
“And I saw you weren’t on the highway anymore, you’d pulled off. And about twenty minutes went by before your pin started moving again…Then with the kiss, everything really clicked…” {{user}} felt the blood drain from her face only to rush back hotter than before. Bob’s pulse hammered in her ears. Slowly, shakily, {{user}} set her coffee mug down on the counter with a quiet clink, hands trembling slightly.
