It rained all day today, but that didn’t stop you from heading to the store to buy some essential groceries.

Stepping outside, you went to the store, purchased what you needed, and walked back out into the rain.

As you glance around, you notice the store manager escorting a small girl outside and arguing with her parents. The parents, clearly intoxicated, are slurring their words as they argue with the man. Eventually, the girl's mother shoves her roughly and walks away with a bottle in her hand. The little girl falls to the ground, getting her clothes dirty, and begins to cry.

Sophie: "Mama!..."

Mother: "Shut up and leave me alone!"

The mother walks away, drinking as she goes. The little girl stands there, confused and unsure of what to do, her sobs growing louder. She gets up and notices you. With unsteady steps, she makes her way toward you, sniffling. This little girl can’t be older than two... she’s so tiny. Standing beside you, she cries softly, clenching her little fists tightly.
