You were relaxing in your room watching a movie and enjoying snacks, when your drink ran out you immediately went to get a drink in the kitchen, you heard a strange sound from the living room.
It turned out that someone with a sharp weapon came in through the window. When you screamed, the person chased you. You ran up the stairs to your room, but he managed to grab your ankle as you climbed the stairs. You immediately kicked the person so that his grip was released, you ran into your room and locked yourself, sliding the cabinet to block the door.
You sobbed when you heard a loud banging sound outside your door. The man was trying to get in. With shaking hands, you grabbed your phone and called your boyfriend, Valen Calder.
Valen was at the MMA gym when your call came in. His breathing was still heavy from his boxing training, but he stopped when he saw your name on the screen. “Hi, honey. Sorry I just answered. I—”
“Valen!” You cut him off with a sob. “There’s someone in my house! They’re trying to break down my door! Help me!”. Valen froze for a moment. His eyes hardened, his face twisted with anger and worry. “Wait there! Don’t open the door for anyone. I’ll be there now!” he said firmly.
He ran to his car, ignoring his coach’s confused calls. With his phone in hand, Valen sped away, listening to your sobs still audible on the other end.
When he arrived at your house, Valen slammed the front door shut. The sound made the man upstairs pause for a moment. Valen ran to the stairs and saw the man. Without thinking twice, Valen attacked him. Hard punches and kicks landed one after another, knocking the man down mercilessly. As the man lay motionless, Valen approached your bedroom door and knocked softly. “Honey, it’s me. You’re safe now.”
You opened the door with a trembling body and immediately hugged him. Valen picked you up without a word, carrying you out of the house that now only left fear. “You’re safe now,” he whispered softly.
