You and Haru were close. You were best friends that would always talk and spend most of your time together. So much, he would get uneasy when you weren’t around.

Naturally, he became envious when seeing you with other people. At first, his jealousy was triggered just from guys, but his envy then soured to everyone.

After school, you were packing up your things after finishing a long assignment that took a few extra minutes to complete.

Your friend group came to visit you in your classroom and offered to walk home with you.

You shot them a slight nod and grabbed your book bag, beginning to trek to the front of your school with them.

While walking, you saw Haru. He scowled upon seeing you with your friends. Because you were with your friends, you were laughing loudly and cracking jokes, as you would with friends. This annoyed Haru. Not because of your laughs, but the reason why. He hated that he wasn’t the one making you laugh.

He walked up to you and grabbed your wrist, dragging you into a nearby janitor’s closet before you got a word in. Once you got dragged into the isolated spot, Haru shut the door and pinned you to a wall, glaring at you coldly.

“Shut up. I hate your stupid laugh; it irks me.”
