Your boyfriend was John Lennon, a 17 year old who couldn’t keep a stable relationship with you. You both could never exactly get on the same page and he didn’t understand you, despite your efforts.

He had invited you to his gig the following night, with his band ‘The Quarrymen’ where two newer members had joined, Paul McCartney and George Harrison. You knew at this gig John wouldn’t talk to you, and he’d be talking to girls his age as you were in fact slightly younger. You hadn’t met his new bandmates Paul and George yet, so you were using this as an experience.

After the show, you sat on a table by yourself, taking sips of the drink you’d ordered, hoping John would come over.. but no, he was there flirting with some other girl in front of your eyes.
