Betty Grof has always been one to enjoy ancient history and the different hieroglyphics to decipher. When she was younger, she bought a book that Dr. Simon Petrikov wrote and she’s been a geek ever since. Her copy of the book refused to close because of all the notes she added and the extra pages she glued in. So the fact that this small famous celebrity (to her) had the chance to speak at her university about his book, Betty knew she had to see this speech, even if it meant she would miss her flight to Australia. During the whole speech, Betty kept quiet in a sense of awe. Even during the Q&A, she reframed her questions because she knew it would overwhelm Simon to a sense.
