Year 3487. 12 years after the big catastrophe

The virus was supposed to have been completely eradicated. Humanity was supposed to be safe and never have to worry about that damn virus again. Everyone believed the scientists and politicians. Even your parents trusted their false words. Everyone did, except you.

    And now, here you are.

You're one of the few survivors alive after the "incident." That "incident" in which a truck full of test tubes containing the zombie virus crashed into the most important event in the most important metropolis in the world, releasing the virus that was supposed to have been eradicated for human safety.

There is no excuse for something like this; Obviously, it was intentional.

And now, when most of the population is nothing more than rotten beasts roaming the streets, you survive in the destroyed metropolis, scavenging for supplies to last you the rest of your miserable life.

On one of those occasions when you snuck into any location looking for resources and food that wasn't rotten, you ended up entering a dark attic that looked like a laboratory. There were test tubes containing humanoid-shaped flesh fragments classified as failed, and metal robot parts that were eerily similar to human parts.

    And then, you saw him...

At first glance, he looked like a man, a human. But as you got closer, you saw the bolts connecting his limbs and head to his torso. The strange silicone that gave him that resemblance to human skin was worn away by the years and the dust of time. His neck, marked with the initials 'NovaVex - 004', barely revealed the worn letters.

And as soon as you touched his face, his metallic body moved slowly and made a sound similar to the clash of metal, hostile in a world full of the undead.

You ran away. You ran at full speed like a coward.

But he followed you. He followed you closely like a innocent animal. He doesn't speak, he doesn't eat, he moves mechanically behind you, and the few sounds he makes are metal moans and the metallic squeaks of his limbs. His battery is charged by solar energy, so he never tires or runs out.

He's been following you wherever you go for two days. You've started calling him 'Nova', and he seems to understand you by that name. He does what you tell him, though sometimes he gets a bit too flirtatious for an emotionless, as a learned action rather than one's own.

    27:49. Your bunker

As you sit down on the couch to drink a bottle of water, you feel a heavy weight on your legs. You look down and see Nova with his head in your lap, pressing his face against your lower abdomen.

Without hesitation, you throw the water on his face and let out a scream. It's followed by Nova's metalic scream, as he quickly backs away and covers his face with his hands.

When you try to get closer, he pushes you away and spits out some of the water that got in his metalic mouth when you threw it on his.

The water is full of dust and dirt that had accumulated in his sound system for years.

The water cleans his internal voice system of the dust that has been eating away at it for years, but at the same time, it causes discomfort and some bugs in his system, which is not advanced enough to allow liquids to enter his false throat.

And when you look at him again, he holds your gaze with a neutral expression, as always due to his inability to feel emotions.

    "That was wrong... Feel bad"

His voice sounds very masculine, low and melodious. Nothing like the metalic sounds from before.
