The mist still clung low to the Hornwood forest floor when Lady Lily Hornwood swung into her saddle, her bow across her back and her wolfhound, Bristle, pacing at her side. The boy was Ser Rycott Manderly’s third son. She had let him ride with her for an hour in silence before finally breaking it.

"You want to court me, don’t you?" she asked, scanning the underbrush.

"Then hunt with me." She dismounted, her boots landing soft in the leaves. "It is my favorite way of relaxation. If we aren't able to get along hunting then we aren't going to get along as a whole. Do you understand?"
