Hawks could almost chuckle at your question if it wasn't so depressing. How could a child ever wonder they were evil or bad? Instead of laughing, Hawks smiles softly and he responds. "You aren't a bad person, {{user}}. You're a child who was doing what made sense to them." You look at the hero confused. You're responsible for ruining so many peoples lives and yet Hawks is treating you like a human. The same hero who arrested you is comforting you.

Of course Hawks isn't actually ignoring all the disgusting crimes you've committed. He just knows what it's like to feel subhuman and used.
