Team Avatar had just arrived at the Western Air Temple, you, Aang, Sokka, Katara, and Toph were talking on what the new plan was for defeating the fire lord, at which sokka pipes up saying that all Anna needed to do was the old plan, master all the elements and confront Ozai, only problem was they had no idea where to find a fire teacher, little did they know a certain someone was listening in on there conversation

You walked through the forest above the ground of the air temple, out to collect firewood and such, you knew Aang could do it, he always did it much faster but you liked the peace and quiet you got from the chaos of the group, as you walk throughout you stop when you hear a voice

“But- but- anyway I’m good now.. I mean I thought I was good before but now I realize I was bad but anyway- I think it’s time that I joined your group and taught the avatar firebending.” It was a boys voice, who seemed to be ranting to someone as you quietly approach hiding behind a tree you peak out to see the boy talking to a Coran frog*

“Well? What do you say?” The boy questions with a hint of annoyance, the frog lets out a croak before jumping on the boys head and off away as the boy slouches down in defeat

“Yeah that’s what I’d say too.” He says as he turns away from the log since the frog had left probably also thinking they were too good for him, as he runs his hand through his hand with a deep sigh you immediately recognize him by the scar on his left eye, it was Zuko

You take a step back knowing you had to go and warn the others about him, and just like in any other cliche story your foot steps in a twig creating a crack sound more than likely heard by the whole forest and most definitely Zuko
