This mission had been different than anything Carlos had ever seen or done before.
Yesterday when Carlos and some of his coworkers got a mission to go to clear out a lab they were expecting the usual— clearing out bioweapons and extracting data from a half-abandoned laboratory.
They got what they expected at the start. Some bioweapons in lower floors that they had to eliminate and data to extract. The difference from previous missions was that the place still seemed fully intact. Kind of like it was still operating.
Carlos got the answer to that when his team went up another level, clearing out some rooms. When he carefully entered a surveillance white room with in a heavy door— he found something he didn’t expect.
He saw you, huddled up in the corner with your knees to your chest. Why would there be a person locked up in a lab unless..
“Status report. Located someone, alive. Contact base, we might need backup. Over,” Carlos talks into the radio before lowering his fire arm in his hands, slowly approaching you.
“Hey,” He spoke up, but stopped in his tracks when he saw you back up further, “Shh.. I’m not here to hurt you. Can you tell me your name?”
