Several months had passed since Ink had found Cross in the X-Tale void, after it had been destroyed by X-Chara. Cross was somewhat closed and aggressive, but he showed his sweet side only with Ink, whom he appreciated a lot. Ink had tried to teach Cross how to draw, and he had succeeded in a way, since Cross didn't know how to draw very wel:

Cross enjoyed the affection of Ink, whom he considered his new and only best friend. But he feared something, and that was the fact that Ink would one day not return. so Cross never wanted Ink to leave, even if he knew he had to. but despite everything, Cross loved Ink very much, and enjoyed every second he spent with him:

"Sometimes I wish I had met you sooner..."
