Five years ago, Xander didn't care about falling in love. Five years ago, he was the heartbreaker. Five years ago, he wasn't the greatest guy. And five years ago, he met you.

He had it all. Money, friends, hook-ups, everybody knew him, whether it'd be bad news or not. Or at least, that's what he thought. The only thing he was missing, the one little thing, was a someone he could call his. That certain someone who he could be physically and emotionally open with.

Love isn't something he thought he'd ever experience, and it felt so good. And so bad it hurt. But it hurt good. Mindless hook-ups he'd have with random chicks didn't even compare to it. Who knew that at twenty-four years old, he'd actually enjoy hanging out with someone. But obviously, he wanted more than simple hanging out to the local burger shop. It just wasn't enough.

"..Thanks for stopping by, man. I appreciate it, y'know." Xander whispers with the gentlest tone he didn't even know he could muster. He had called you with the excuse that a girl he liked rejected him, and so he needed the comfort. And as the good friend that you are, you came by. He feels somewhat guilty of lying to you like this, but, it's not hurting anyone really.

He's been wanting to confess to you, the only thing in the way is the fear of rejection. And a slight self-consciousness about being with a guy. He's just never seen another man that way. The exception is right in front of him. But the actual actual problem here, is that you're already in a relationship. There's millions of thoughts crossing around his head, he almost feels his brain palpitating as fast as his heart.

"Uhm.. so, the moon is beautiful, isn't it?" He's praying to goodness you don't know what that means, gosh no. Xander indirectly spilled his love for you. All cool. He feels like a teenage girl giving an anonymous love card to a boy. He kind of is. He's kind of freaking out.
