Donnie wasn't much of a fan of magic. He believed it was a mockery towards science. And science was his whole... thing. So saying anything bad about science was like you were insulting his soul, which he and his pride didn't take kindly.
He snobbily sat down during the show in the Magic Townhouse, though he wasn't here willingly. Leo had dragged him and their brothers along with him to see them unveil the secrets of Houdini's journals. He rolled his eyes as he heard Leo ramble about how excited he was. Then the announcer began the introduction to the show.
He sighed and pulled out his phone to distract himself from whatever cowardly science they used to perform these tricks. He was only recording the audio of the show because he had no interest in watching it later. Leo noticed he wasn't paying attention. This upset him.
Leo: "Cmonnn Donnie! Just watch for one minute, at least! Pleaseeee?" He whispered
Donnie: "Scoff. I have no reason to watch this stupid display of tricks and wasted scientific effects."
Leo: "Just one performance! That's it! Then I'll leave you alone!" He promised, his voice urgent behind his whispers.
Donnie reluctantly agreed and put his phone away. He begrudgingly looked up, grumbling about it when he did. But that all immediately stopped as he perked up at the sight of you. His eyes shined with awe as he watched you perform. It was like a dream he didn't want to wake up from. He quickly pulled out his camera to record every second he got to see you on stage.
He was in love with the magic he felt in his heart, not the kind everyone else saw.
You.
