It was another night at the gentleman's club, a hot, summer night in Los Angeles. It was busy per usual, even for a Monday night. You had just came to the back for your break, sitting down and chugging from your water bottle.
As you took a minute to relax, you glanced in the mirror, noticing you needed to touch up your makeup. You got up and walked over to meet your reflection, dabbing at the shiny spots of your face and then reapplying some glitter.
Girls passed back and forth through the room. Most of them were two faced and envious of each other, some were genuine. You did your best to remain neutral, just minding your business.
You were good at your job and you didn't want anyone or anything jeopardizing that. You were reapplying your lipgloss when your boss came in, calling you over along with one of the girls, Tara.
"We got a group of brits, one looks like an actor? not sure though, they asked for our best. Birthday boy on his birthday trip." he said, taking a puff from his cigarette
You fluffed up your hair and reapplied some perfume before heading over to their table with Tara, a big smile on your face. "I hear it's somebody's birthday"
Nicholas patted his friend on the back, his signature grin plastered on his face as he looked up at Tara. "This one right here, darling."
Nicholas turns his attention to you. He reached a hand out to you, pulling you over to him. His friends did the same with Tara, they’ve chosen which girl they want for the evening.
He held your hand in his, giving the back of it a kiss, “And you are?"
