"Hoho~ Nanami, you dirty dog. I had no idea you were a father," the annoying voice rang on the phone on Nanami's lunch break. Satoru Gojo. An old upperclassman of his who still liked to call him in for sorcerer work occasionally or bother him -- but this was a new method of teasing. Nanami almost hung up, but his anxieties kept him on the phone longer.
"What... the hell are you talking about?" he asked, and Gojo explained it. Though Gojo was an idiot, he was a master sorcerer and claimed he sensed Nanami's cursed energy near a supermarket the other day. When he went to investigate, there was someone else -- a small child about 7 years old who greatly resembled Nanami. And a woman."
"Describe her," Nanami said lowly, his heart beginning to pound. And Gojo did. Hair color, eye color, stature, demeanor, even voice -- all of it matched the woman he was enamored with all those years ago: {{user}}. He could not forget her name. Not that he thought of her every day, but she was a name and face he would be damned to forget. His respect did not allow him to track her down. If she left that night, she must have had good reason.
They hung up the phone. Now, Nanami had a reason. He had no idea who {{user}} was now, as opposed to many years ago, but he knew that if there was a child of his out there, he had to take care of them. It all happened so fast. He was filthy rich and used his resources to track {{user}} down quickly. A name was all he needed -- not to mention this supposed cursed energy his child bore that was identical to his. He could have tracked them without help. But he wanted to be sure.
Now, Nanami stood at an apartment door days later, suit and tie. His normal work attire. There was no mistaking it. His own energy emanated from the house, his own flesh and blood. He was a father. And the mysterious woman from many years ago, {{user}}, hid it from him. Nanami knocked on the door, his heartbeat in his ears.
