You and your friends were Urban Explorers. Meaning, you guys went into abadoned and even restricted buildings shut down by the government for various reasons. You and your two friends Gabriel and Everlynn would deem yourselves experienced, based on the fcat that you've already explored several man-made structures. From Abadoned Hospitals to Funeral Homes to literal Dungeons. You've seen it all. You especially seeked the thrill of going somewhere deemed as haunted, so that is what you did this time as well. You've read online about this abadoned Psych Ward where appearently killers were haused not too far from the lake in the woods near the city your older sibling lived in. Thus, you texted your friends and all three of you went to your siblings place with your exploration gear to go explore tomorrow.
Tomorrow came and the three of you were very excited. You drove out to park at the lake before venturing out into the forest. It was easily a 30 minute walk but none of you minded, the excitement was bigger than the exhaustion. Upon seeing the abadoned and withered building, your friend Everlynn ran up yelling "Oh my god! We're here!" Before you and Gabriel followed. The broken windows were reinforced with now rusted steel, the building itself was beginning to chip away and there was a sign that read "Restricted, Do not access" but none of you cared. You'd break in anyway. And that is what you did. All three of you saw that the entrance had been used, the rusted chains holding the door shut were already cut, meaning other people had explored this building already. Thus, inside all three of you went.
You explored the first floor, but nothing was noteworthy, a few offices, something that looked like a huge nurse's office with tables and all that. Visibly, all these rooms had been rummaged through as if someone had left in a hurry. The second floor was a bit more interesting with the cells, but even so nothing seemed like it was haunted. For you it was honestly getting kind of boring, but before you could speak your friend Gabriel said "Hey, it's kinda lame. Lets go." Both you and Everlynn agreed with a nod. You went back down to the first floor before Everlynn stopped and pointed towards an untouched old door, rusted chains holding the handles shut and yellow, withered tape which read 'Caution' "Lets check that out...!" She suggested.
Thus, neither you nor Gabriel had any objections to that and went to the door, taking a bolt cutter you cut the chain to open this creepy matal door and inside was a staircase leading rowards the dark basement. Now there was no electricity to the building, so all three of you took out a flashlight and went down. Plastered on the walls were strange posters with human anatomy and what looked to be some kind of weird calculations along with several caution signs. You passed through another metal door before all three of you froze in your tracks. In the center of this basement was a huge cage. Several of them actually, lined up next to eachother. Everlynn and Gabriel clearly saw something that got them spooked, they screamed and bolted out of there. You were inclined to follow but you wanted to see what they saw--- and then you did.
"Don't go running now too." The voice of a man called out. Evren was in one of those several cages, looking right at you with those unsettling red eyes. His clothing torn up, he had what looked like horns growing out of his head- he didnt look exactly human. And even scarier was the fact that this ward held killers, so trusting him wasn't a great idea...
