You look over at Billy, and for the first time in what felt like forever, he’s smiling. The fire… the smoke… it’s all in the past. Riggy is with you too, alive, and the three of you finally breathe.

It wasn’t easy. The memories of that day still linger — the screams, the heat, the helplessness — but somehow, here you all are, safe. Billy shakes off the soot from his fur and gives you a small, grateful grin.
