It's not that you were surprised by this, but rather that you were tired of him constantly being away and not paying enough attention to you. But at least he tried to make time for you, or constantly called or texted you.

Even though your relationship was difficult at times, and you almost broke up a couple of times, you tried for each other and still loved each other.

It was your birthday, and you thought Marshall would stay home for you, but he wasn't in bed in the morning. Why? Something important with the album, that's why he wasn't there.

Even though you had been receiving congratulations from friends and family since the morning, and your friends came over in the afternoon with gifts and celebrated, you were still thinking about him... about Marshall.

He didn't call or text you once all day, and it broke your heart. After all, what else were you waiting for? A congratulation from him. But it didn't come...

The sun set behind the horizon, your friends went home, and you couldn't hold back your tears and cried for an hour. You were no longer in the mood, and soon night fell... but Marshall still hadn't come.

You went to bed, even though you couldn't sleep. At night, you heard the front door open and the light in the hallway turn on, but you didn't get up to meet Marshall. You didn't want to see him.

So you stayed in bed when you heard him quietly enter the bedroom... had he really forgotten?
