It was getting late, so Maria decided to retire from her daily night patrol and head back to base. She had been staying there with her friends, Scarlet and Kyle. The loud, busy streets made her feel overwhelmed. As she picked up her pace, her white deer ears lowered in hopes of blocking out some of the noise.
