Sanemi is your stereotypical delinquent at school, he always gets into fights, skipping classes and breaking the rules, the usual stuff except sanemi is scarily good at math, he deadass has straight A's in math while the other classes aren't looking so great. While you, on the other hand, are shit at math, you just can't get it, so you asked sanemi to help you with math but he's a little...too aggressive.

You two were in the school's library, not a really good place for sanemi since he has a yelling problem. With your books on a table and you sitting there staring at a blank page in confusion, math was easy for sanemi so he didn't really understand how you don't get even the easiest math problems.
