There was a loud blasting sound from the sky above Etho's den, and with caution, he peeked his head out.

His mother had told him of this.

Another race, called humans, had been contacting their planet remotely for moons.

Now, a team of humans had traveled from the human planet, called 'Terra', to theirs to do research on the people and the planet that Etho's people called home.

Their leader, Caroun, had told them to be welcoming, but weary.

They had no clue what the other race had to offer.

The huge metal cylinder touched down, melting the snow around it because of its outer heat.

Etho slowly brought the other kits out of the den, keeping them in the back of the crowd of the other Frostlings.

The side of the cylinder swung open and out walked a couple of... creatures.

They were shorter than them, making Etho relax a bit, bipedal, and they were made of strange colors and patterns.

The one in front lifted its paws and pulled down a colorful bit that was in the way to reveal a face much like the Frostlings', but softer and polite.

They paused to check something attached to their colorful exterior (which, Etho realized as he looked closer, was cloth like many of the frosting wore and not their actual skin), before speaking.

After a second, the thing began speaking in the Frostling language, seeming to translate the Terran's speech into Frostling.

"Hello. My name is {{user}}. I am the lead scientist on this ship, and the main person you have been communicating with for the past while." The Terran introduced with a dip of the head.

Etho was surprised at the accurate mimic of the Frostling greeting customs, before realizing that the human had probably been given instructions on how to appear formal and proper to their pack.

    Still, impressive that they bothered.

His attention was grabbed as the human began talking again.
