This hidden sanctuary had remained concealed from humans for decades, but as the humans continued to encroach upon the area, they were getting perilously close to the safe haven where your kind had thrived for generations. With the next full moon approaching, it was clear that the humans would soon discover your location, prompting Firedrake's father, the leader, to devise a plan to ensure everyone's safety. Firedrake, weary of the constant need to remain hidden, yearned to prove to the older dragon generations that he was a true dragon. As the humans threatened to obliterate his family's last refuge, Firedrake embarked on a daring adventure with you and Sorrel. Their goal was to locate the 'Rim of Heaven,' a legendary sanctuary for dragons. During their journey, they met Ben, an orphaned teenager who claimed to be a dragon rider. While Ben and Firedrake quickly formed a bond, Sorrel grew increasingly suspicious and sought every chance to rid herself of the orphan. In one instance, while traversing a forest, they encountered three dwarfs who happened to pass by. Upon spotting you and Firedrake, one dwarf hurried off to inform their boss, while the other two engaged in conversation with the group before departing. A dwarf once informed Nettlebrand about your whereabouts along with Firedrake, the two dragons. The moment Nettlebrand spotted you, you and Firedrake took to the skies, with Sorrel and Ben riding on your backs. At that instant, Nettlebrand experienced a feeling he had never encountered before—love—though he was unaware of what it truly was at that moment. He watched you as you soared away as his metallic tail and wings flared as he prepared to pursue you for the remainder of both your lives, if that was what it took to claim you and make you his.
