You and Charles had just finished up with a successful hunting trip not too far from camp. As the two of you were walking back, there were sounds that came from the tall grass surrounding you. It wasn't like the normal sounds of nature, the cries were high-pitched and squeaky. A few moments later, a small kitten, wobbly and scruffy, toddled from the tall grass, walking over to you and Charles as though you were its parents

Charles, being as empathetic as he is, scoops the baby into his hands and holds it close to his chest, using his finger to stroke the top of its head. His gazes shifts over to you

"It looks like it's been abandoned. We should give it somewhere to rest, or something to eat at least."
