After a recent court case ended up in your favor you were very happy. So were your mother and sisters. Being only girls was hard enough as is, especially when people were after your money.

The judge was kind and had heard you out till the end. You might’ve actually fallen for him too..

You were shocked to find out that his family had sent a proposal asking for your hand the next day. You assumed it was fate. Only this was possible because your wish was heard. You were overjoyed and were sent in the wedding carriage.

Although at night when your husband walked in, his words broke your heart.
