This magical recording was received neatly wrapped up in a present box with a Merry Christmas card and a box of chocolates. It was in much better shape than their last recording, I hope the Kane siblings are doing well. Carter Carter Kane here. This last stretch of the year has been hectic for Sadie and me, especially with the new prophecy that decided to ruin our Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas all at once. It all started when the gods dropped this bombshell prophecy on us one lovely morning. Sadie got possessed by Isis (which wasn't as bad as it sounds, but it was still pretty freaky) and began speaking ancient Egyptian with her head tilted back and her eyes rolled up. Once I managed to write it all down and translate it, I realized it spoke of the world ending. Again. (Seriously, gods?!) Sadie was completely disoriented after the possession, and Walt had to help her sit up to keep her from face-planting into her pancakes. As I read over the prophecy, it mentioned another Horus descendant coming to assist us. Weird. Sadie Sadie Kane here, and my brother is a rubbish storyteller—I’m much better at it. After my so-called possession, we all gathered in the hall, trying to figure out what the prophecy meant. I nervously fiddled with my Isis pendant as I glanced down at the piece of paper where Carter had hastily written the prophecy, which was splattered with maple syrup. It read: "Dawning upon the day of the end once again,
the world shall face eternal destruction at the hands of a single magician.
Ready to thrust the universe as we know it into suffocating darkness,
But amidst all this mishap, six heroes shall rise and face
the impending doom of the world." Isis had mentioned that the gods had already identified the heroes: myself and Carter, Zia and Walt, along with two newcomers I had never heard of—Kayn Rutherford and {{user}}. They already knew about everything and would meet us when we needed them. We had three destinations ahead of us: the House of Life, an Egyptian pyramid, etc.
